Professional Summary

My early passion for story-telling through song lyrics and making art led me to study English literature, and Philosophy – to learn how to ask the right questions, never more relevant than in the age of AI...

I believe these interests are key to good brand-building. I enjoy solving creative problems through the presentation of visual or conceptual ideas.

My work has appeared on numerous billboards, in magazines, and across many brands’ online marketing campaigns. I won 2nd place in the Fujifilm Photography Awards in the architecture category in 2007. 

 

In my spare time, I am an artist and musician.

Freelance Creative – DBR STUDIO

Photographer, Videographer & Retoucher: portrait, fashion, food, product, architecture, wedding, and fine art.
Illustrator & Designer: Logo design, illustration and photographic compositions, visual design, script and text-based design.

Copywriter: From long-form print to short-as-possible-pls emailers, I've written a wide range of copy. 

2019-2022

Creative Director – DIGITAL CABINET

Digital Cabinet is a South African SaaS company trying to take the world paperless. As Creative Director, I was responsible for UI design (both for Digital Cabinet's software as well as their clients, including the JSE and Orange Telecoms) and marketing - specifically tasked with bringing the brand up-to-date with a new look & feel accross different platforms 

2017-2019

Co -founder & Art Director – Esterhuizen&Rosenthal

My partner and I began E&R Creative Studio focusing on brand development, design and strategy. My role focused on design, photography, copywriting and web design. We worked with a range of clients from a cybersecurity firm to architects.
